Will Danzinger
Chief Operating Officer
Will Danzinger is Abiomed’s chief operating officer, responsible for global manufacturing, supply chain and information technology. He joined Abiomed in 2021 as global manufacturing leader, where he helped increase manufacturing capacity through hiring and implementing Lean flowlines.
Prior to Abiomed, Will was senior vice president of manufacturing for Smith and Nephew where he helped align the manufacturing footprint for the future, culminating in building a factory in Penang, Malaysia. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he restructured the global manufacturing team to adapt to the changing needs of the business environment. Will started his career in the GE Manufacturing Management Program. While at GE Aviation, he became a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt, ran an overhaul shop operation and led the turnaround of an engine overhaul shop in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He then moved to GE Healthcare in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he led operational excellence. Will also took on increasing roles in fulfillment, demand planning, spare parts distribution and multi-factory manufacturing.
Will attended Rochester Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
